Plexis and Concert Vertebroplasty
Vertebroplasty is a technique used for the treatment of vertebral compression fractures which was pioneered in the 1980s in France by Drs. Deramond and Galibert. After very positive patient outcomes were experienced, these techniques quickly spread throughout the world, reaching the US in the early 1990s. The Plexis System has been designed to provide physicians with the ability to deliver cement across a broad range of viscosities with a simple integrated mixing and injection system.
The working time of the Concert Cement is approximately 17 minutes, allowing the physician to choose the viscosity that they feel is appropriate as the viscosity increases over time. Because of the design of the Plexis Injector, the Concert cement can be injected even at very high viscosities.
- More Time + More Cement = More Value
- Manage cement even at higher viscosity using the Plexis self contained mixing and injection system.
- Concert Cement was developed specifically for compression fracture treatment.
